This is Sydney. He was a domestic shorthair, born in Georgia, USA sometime in April 2000. He died in northern Sweden on August 14, 2015, of kidney failure.

I will remember you lithe and leaping, ready to play. You had fur softer than a rabbit’s. You used to love head-butting the bridge of my nose, silently communicating your affection. I’ll miss nuzzling the spot between your ears.
